A German court has prohibited your company from doing something, often without hearing you first, such as an advertisement, a statement or the sale of a product. The order or judgment has been served by a bailiff or from lawyer to lawyer.
What matters now
- The prohibition applies from service and must be complied with immediately. Breaches can trigger substantial administrative fines, even if they come from employees, dealers or old content online.
- Inform everyone involved in the company and at partners without delay.
- Record the date and manner of service; keep the envelope.
- There are several ways to respond to an injunction, each with its own deadlines and cost consequences. Which one fits should be clear before any letter to the other side.

- the service documents
- any preceding warning letter and the correspondence on it
- evidence of the facts from your point of view
