IT Compliance Training Online

New statutory obligations in the areas of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and data protection increasingly affect mid-sized companies too – often without management itself having, or needing to have, the expertise to know every requirement in detail. I offer compact, practice-oriented online training on these topics: live by video conference, with real interaction rather than pre-recorded video material, and drawing on the background I bring from 22 years of professional experience.

What I do for you

I design and deliver training on the following topics – individually or as a combined “Digital Compliance Day” for your company. All sessions take place live by video conference, usually as an in-house session for your management team or staff, and on request also in German.

NIS2/BSIG and your management’s training obligation

The EU NIS2 Directive (Directive (EU) 2022/2555) has been incorporated into Germany’s BSI Act (BSIG) through the NIS2 Implementation and Cybersecurity Strengthening Act (NIS2UmsuCG). For the management of “important” and “particularly important” entities, this creates an obligation to be trained on cyber risks and risk-management measures – a breach can lead to personal liability for management. I provide you and your leadership team with the relevant fundamentals in a compact, accessible way, tailored to your actual operational situation, and issue a certificate of attendance afterwards.

AI competence under Article 4 of the EU AI Act

The EU AI Act requires providers and deployers of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among their staff – this affects virtually every company that uses AI-powered tools in its daily work. The training covers the legal fundamentals, data protection and copyright questions, and the sensible handling of AI-generated content, and provides you with the documentation you need for your own record-keeping obligations.

GDPR training for your team

Regular data protection training is one of the measures supervisory authorities expect under the accountability principle (Article 5(2) GDPR) – and can affect the amount of a fine if things go wrong. I offer foundational training for staff as well as more in-depth sessions for data protection officers and management, tailored to your industry and your actual data processing.

How it works and what it costs

Get in touch with me without obligation – by email to kanzlei@bauer.legal or by phone. In an initial conversation, we will clarify which topic (or combination of topics) is relevant for your company, who should take part, and which date works. Fees are charged on an hourly or daily basis; you will receive a concrete quote after the initial conversation.

I am also happy to advise you in detail on the underlying areas of law, for example information technology law. If your company is already experiencing conflicts around an IT project, I can also support you as a conflict manager or mediator. My weekly, free discussion format Televenses also covers many of these topics – feel free to join.
